Emily Compton, O.D. is an optometrist at Holcomb Laser Center, serving patients in Cullman, AL. She provides comprehensive and medical oriented eye care, with special interests dry eye, surgical co-management, myopia control management, and fitting Orthokeratology lenses.
Dr. Compton is a 5th generation Cullman County native. She grew up in Cullman and graduated from Cullman High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Alabama and her Doctor of Optometry from UAB School of Optometry. She completed an internship at the Birmingham VA Medical Clinic, where she trained in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular disease such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
Dr. Compton lives in Cullman with her husband and daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and taking her two dogs on walks. She worked in the Birmingham area before coming back to Cullman and is excited to return to her hometown to serve her community.
